Dates Set for 2009 WMS Exporter Rural Outreach Seminars

The following dates and locations have been set for the WMS Exporter Rural Outreach Seminars:
Port Angeles – February 3rd
Aberdeen – February 25th
Wenatchee – March 16th
Tri-Cities – April 7th
Bremerton – April 29th
Yakima – May 20th
Moses Lake – June 24th
Besides the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington, the seminars will include presentations from Washington Manufacturing Services, The Washington State Department of Community Trade and Economic Development International Trade Group, the U.S. Small Business Administration International Trade Office, and the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Assistance Center.

Washington Manufacturing Services to Partner with EFACW

The Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington (EFACW) and Washington Manufacturing Services (WMS) announced a partnership to offer seminars and direct outreach to promote export market opportunities to small manufacturers across the state. The program is designed to meet the needs of both prospective and emerging exporters as well as experienced exporters that may be looking to expand their current export business. Program topics will include:
•Expanding sales into international markets
•Increasing global competitiveness
•Getting assistance in researching and connecting with foreign buyers
•Using and accessing Ex-Im Bank programs to access working capital and Buyer finance support
•Credit Insurance as a risk mitigation and finance tool
•Other risk mitigation and finance tools

Location: This is the fourth in a series of events for the Rural Manufacturing Outreach program being conducted in partnership with Washington Manufacturing Services. The event will be held at The Lincoln Center, 905 9th Street, Ste. 137-139, Bellingham, WA 98363.
Although the program is geared towards manufacturers, it is open to anyone interested in exporting. Presenters will include: Washington Manufacturing Services; The Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development, International Trade Office; the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington; and the Small Business Administration International Trade Office.
