The Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington (EFACW) was established by the Washington State legislature in 1983 to provide free export finance advice and counseling to small and medium-sized exporters and those in Washington State considering entering the export market.
EFACW offers advice on payment risk mitigation and export finance, such as credit insurance, letters of credit, foreign exchange, and export finance guarantee programs provided by federal agencies, including the Export-Import Bank and the Small Business Administration. They help businesses understand how to finance their export sales and ensure they get paid by foreign buyers, effectively acting as a matchmaker for lender relationships.
In addition, EFACW is committed to enhancing the skills and knowledge of small businesses in Washington State through comprehensive export training programs. These programs are led by nationally recognized experts in the field, ensuring that participants acquire valuable insights and practical skills to improve their exporting capabilities and navigate the complexities of international trade successfully.
